Water of Life

Early April 2016 Uxbridge

I had a few different smaller encounters with a couple of his treasures – "Michael" was one, at a charity stand.  Already a vibrant born-again believer but he was really appreciative of our time together and my word to him that discipling younger guys was something he would be doing in a special way.  He said he could see that happening a bit already and received it .  His boss wasn’t a Christian and didn’t really have time for me to chat with him, though he was kind and respectful in how he said that.

A young lady called "Jenny" approached me on a stand promoting water filters.  We had a good chat and she told me a bit about herself as I asked her a few questions. She said “I feel like I've told you my life story- I wonder why?”  and asked me what I do as a job!!  I told her I'm a sort of street pastor and explained what that is.  I felt prompted to ask her about her creative side-  how she was going to express that in her job because I sensed this was strong in her.  She told me she is a musician and had worked in that field for a while but felt the need to get out.  There were some other things I said and she asked me if I was a psychic (!) but I explained about hearing God for people so they can know He is real and be encouraged.

In the course of this she started tearing up and was surprised at what was happening to her as I was speaking .  I told her my own testimony and said how God had set up this “appointment” today to show her that He knows all about her, is crazy about her and wants to have close relationship with her.  Also how different the gospel is to "religion" which is demanding and conditional.   It was beautiful to be able to share that.  She drank it all in and I encouraged her to call out to Jesus as I had done and he would come and show Himself to her.  She was quiet and thoughtful and said she "needed to ask Him a few things".  I left with the promise that I would pray for her.

Hold and keep all these precious ones Father  Water and nourish the seed that has been planted and keep it safe from the thieving deciever.
