My path took me into a shopping centre this week, where a young lady was promoting a health business at a stand. She asked me what I was doing today and took real interest in my answer. It felt like Father had led me to a “person of peace” – not a believer but a seeker who just didn’t realise it yet! Her name is Lisa.
We chatted for a few moments and, when I felt it was time to go, I asked Lisa if there was anything she would like me to pray for her – either physical issues or things going on in her life. “I’m fit and well so no worries there”, she said – but I’d love a new job!” was Lisa’s reply. She was particularly keen on getting into the recruitment sector.
‘Have you found any openings to apply for or any interviews coming up?” I asked Lisa.
“ I actually had a first interview for a recruitment company twenty minutes ago (!!!) she said smilingly – and they want me back to have a second interview this evening.”
“What are we waiting for, then? Let me pray for you quickly right now!”I urged Lisa and I then proceeded to pray, eyes-open, talking as if it was just a natural continuation of our conversation – only now with the Heavenly Father brought in as our supernatural Consultant!
I prayed that only those doors would open for Lisa that would bless and not harm her life and that this whole job seeking experience would show her the love of the Father who is able to do more than she can possibly imagine. I noticed her nodding as I prayed and she joined me in saying “Amen!” at the end. She thanked me warmly for helping her in this way and I left her with a blessing of success over the stand where she was working.
Father, your timing is so amazing. Thank you that I came across Lisa just after that initial interview and ahead of the second one. Thank you for revealing your love to her in this way and for the assurance I believe that gave her about this new job. I know you will continue to pursue her and to open her eyes and heart to your saving reality again and again. I pray that for Lisa’s partner, too.

Father God knows how to put things in place to prepare you for the best possible interview with the best possible outcome. Even sending a random person like me across your path to pray for job success, as I do right now!
