A comment recently came in from a reader of a previous post featuring the healing of someone with very painful gout in their foot. This person was healed (at the side of a road!) and they give a brief account of that healing in a short audio clip in the post entitled “Gout get out!”
The reader who contacted me – Kathy – lives on a different continent but had the same issue – painful gout in her big toe. She was very keen to be freed from this limiting condition and asked me if I would pray for her healing. My answer was an enthusiastic “Yes!”
I suggested to Kathy that she send me a photo of the affected toe and that I would lay hands on the photo of her foot, just as if she was actually there in the room with me She agreed, sent the photo and first thing the following morning I laid hands over it, commanding healing to come and all gout to leave taking all its symptoms with it. Kathy was fast asleep while I was praying, being in a completely different time zone to me.. When she woke the next morning, she messaged me to say that her foot was already 45% better! Almost half-way there! I celebrated this wonderful progress in my next reply to Kathy, but assured her that Jesus had paid for 100% of her healing, so that is what I would keep praying for – nothing less.
During the next prayer, I again laid my hands over the photo of Kathy’s foot and specifically addressed the remainder of the pain, commanding it to obey the name of Jesus, leave completely and never return. I really sensed a shift as I prayed, and felt like the job was done. Her next update to me was that her foot felt even better - the pain was now three-quarters gone! Only the last bit left. Kathy was keen to take steps of faith – literally!– for her healing by returning to her Zumba dance class which she had been missing due to the gout pain. She went dancing that afternoon and I had to wait until my next morning to hear the outcome!!
This is what she wrote to me today: “back to work – toe feels fine today. Prayer worked and I received my 100%”!!
Woo Hoo and Hallelujah! The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. What Jesus did for one, He will do again for another. I love that Kathy acted on someone else’s testimony to receive the same kind of healing for herself. I love that she honestly graded her healing progress and that she was prepared to take a step of faith towards healing, even before the healing had fully manifested. And I love that we got to praise and thank Jesus together for her full healing, never having even met or seen one another !! Time zones and geographical distance could not stop the miracle working power of Jesus! He healed through a photo on a mobile phone!
Perhaps you know someone with gout, maybe you are suffering from it yourself. It is very painful. Will you take this testimony for yourself and lay your hands on that person and release healing to them? Even through a photo or via a screen ? Wonderful things happen when believers command pain to go in Jesus’ Name, believing that every kind of pain and sickness must obey the One who defeated all the works of the enemy.. We don’t even have to be in the same room!
