A concerned husband emailed me recently to ask for prayer for his dear wife – Alice. Alice was suffering from a very painful arthritic joint in one of her thumbs. It had really been getting her down.
I don’t live near Alice, so I asked them to take a photo of her hand, particularly the thumb area, and to send it to me via email. I would then lay hands over the photo and command healing to her thumb, just as if I was present with her in the room. I encouraged Alice that I had seen many healings happen through laying hands over photos of afflicted limbs or backs, hands or feet etc. Even for those in different continents and time zones and for those in high level pain!
Alice duly sent me a photo of her thumb later that night. I didn’t have opportunity to pray that night but the following morning I woke earlier than normal and clicked onto the email photo of Alice’s thumb. Laying my hand over the photo, I cursed the illegal presence of arthritis in her thumb with its associated pain and commanded these to obey the name of Jesus and leave, never to return. I then released Peace, strength and healing to the thumb and whole hand, instructing the hand to receive its full healing now through the Mighty Name of Jesus! No more pain, in Jesus’ Name! Then I got on with my day.
A little while later, I received a message from Alice to say that, for the first time in a long time, she had been able to lie in and had just woken up with ZERO PAIN in her thumb! She was overjoyed and so grateful to God to be free of her affliction. Yoo Hoo and thank you Jesus! This couple were in touch with me just yesterday, a few weeks after this thumb healing, to confirm that Alice is still free of pain and has been standing against any little “twinges”, telling them to GO NOW! as I had instructed her to do after praying for her.
Time zones, distance, age and severity of condition are NO OBSTACLE to the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Why not offer to pray over someone you know in pain via a photo? Especially if they live in a different district or country to you? The point of contact you have via laying hands on the photo is wonderfully effective for the release of healing ! What have you got to lose??!!
