Everyone deserves to know how precious they are to Jesus

"He will take such delight in you that it will make him leap for joy…you will be his feast of joyful pleasure. Yes, he will renew you with his love

Following a little nudge

Slough  2nd May 2018

I was only able to spend a brief time in town today and was also only able to pray on the way in for everything I would need for Divine encounters today. I’m so glad that our effectiveness is because of the all-effective One inside us and not the amount of work, preparation or prayer we do or don’t do! Even though those things are all good!!

I chatted generally with a couple of folk but didn’t find any openings to take things further, so just smiled and walked on.  A smiley young man from a financing company approached me and we chatted about their product (which I didn’t need but he was cool about that).  It felt like time to go - especially as his supervisor was watching - but I had this feeling that Father had something for this young smiley man “Kelvin” and I thought I would be going back to see him later.  After a while doing other things, I passed by “Kelvin’s zone” again but he was busy with a customer, so I walked to another area to wait.

I got chatting with another guy who was promoting some other business but there wasn’t much scope to talk with him about Jesus-things as he was in his first few days on the job and was being really closely watched by his supervisor standing right nearby!  I said encouraging things about his presentation which I wanted the supervisor to hear so she could hopefully encourage him later. After that I really had to leave it…..and headed back to Kelvin.

This time K was free and he recognised me again with a smile.  I told him that I had prayed for him since I left his stand and he genuniely thanked me for that.  Good start! I said I had asked God to tell me something about “Kelvin” that he loved.  And how I felt God had said that he loves how K always holds on to the ones he loves and will not let them go (Kelvin was nodding enthusiastically and saying yes) - how he is fiercely loyal to those he loves even though he hasn’t had that kind of loyalty role-modelled to him necessarily.  He knew exactly what that meant and actually said to me “What you have just said is 100% accurate”! He was really touched by this word and I told him how, of all the people on the street in Slough that day, God had him personally in mind for me to meet and show him something of the Father’s amazing knowledge of and love for him.  I talked a little more about the kind of love He has for K and encouraged him to go and ask Father to show Him more of that love - even if he didn’t know Him well or even at all.  He was really happy and just kept on saying, "Thank you, thank you so much, you have made my day”.  !!

I’m very glad I persisted with that little nudge to go back and see K with a word from Abba, even though it took a few tries.  I guess it’s always about following those little Holy Spirit nudges – either toward or away from a given person at a certain time.

Please recall to his memory the encounter you gave Kelvin today, dear Holy Spirit, and increase his desire to know more of this God who knows and loves him so personally. Pursue Him Abba, until he cannot resist your love invitations  anymore!
