Everyone deserves to know how precious they are to Jesus

"He will take such delight in you that it will make him leap for joy…you will be his feast of joyful pleasure. Yes, he will renew you with his love

The stubborn healing love of Jesus!!!

Popped into town at lunchtime.  Nicely busy as the mild weather had people sitting outdoors in their lunchbreak whilst buskers entertained in the background.

In one area of the high street there were four sales people representing a utilities company.  I felt drawn to ask Holy Spirit for an encouraging word particularly for one of them and found an opportunity to approach him.  He was a friendly chap, “Paul”, from a Nigerian family and after explaining why I was in town today I gave him the encouragement I had received. It was to do with restoration of confidence after a knock in that area and also about his future work in the area of business and how God wanted to build something with him that he would tell his children about one day.  They would be stunned at how far God had taken him from his early beginnings to where he was when he told them his story.

“Paul” was moved and very grateful for me sharing this and said that it actually felt 100% spot on for him. We had a bit of a chat about his family ( a family of believers) and I also offered to pray for any physical issues but he was fit and well.  His colleague Theresa, however, had ongoing back pain and was curious and receptive to my offer to pray for her pain to leave.  She had never seen or experienced anything like this before and had a job getting her head round it afterwards!  Here is a brief audio clip of her experience, recorded after the prayer.  The singing in the background was live and pretty close to where we were standing. Hope you can hear her story!

Theresa’s other colleague, Parth, actually had a very similar issue with his back and a similar level of pain to Theresa’s.  Here is a short audio interview with him too.

Finally, the fourth team member “Derek” from Russia had neck and shoulder pain, level 5/10 pain.   I could see he was more sceptical and edgy about things but he did let me pray.  It was interesting to see how with Theresa and Parth, their pain left after two prayers at  most – Theresa’s left instantly.  With “Derek”, though, the pain was stubborn and went from a 5 to a 4, then a 2, then a 1, then a 0.5!!!  His colleague said “Oh, he’s Russian…he’s tough!” “No problem – Jesus is tougher still!” was my reply.  The whole thing was actually pretty funny but I hung on praying for him and got the 100% that Jesus had paid for.  It wasn’t timely to interview him but he was very curious about what had just taken place and was trying to work out what formula or technique I had used!  He kept asking if I made my mind focus on certain images or was there a white light that came down through me to make the healing happen?!  It was a great opportunity to talk about the simplicity, power and supremacy of the name of Jesus who lives in those who believe. No other name.  No formula.  No technique. Just Jesus.

Before I went home, I also had an opportunity to talk with “Ikram”, a Muslim gentleman from Mauritius who was leafleting for a company further down the high street. .  We spoke in French for a bit and talked about different countries we had lived in . I explained that I was in town today to pray for people and encourage them with the goodness of God.  We had quite a lengthy chat about faith and humanity, his philosophy of the universe especially the energy that connects people and healing (sort of chakra approach) I spoke about Jesus and offered to pray for any physical pain he may have in Jesus’ name.  I also gave him a brief word of encouragement about his mother. He just kept saying I had a really good energy and it was great that I was willing to give that to other people through Jesus.  He didn’t receive prayer for himself and the whole encounter was kinda mixed up but I pray, Holy Spirit, that your Presence in that encounter would linger and draw “Ikram” toward the Jesus He heard about – and experienced - today.  Glory to God in the Highest!!!!
