Reaching for an item on one of the upper shelves, I heard a female voice behind me lamenting “Oh, I shouldn’t have come! I’ve pushed myself too soon”. Suspecting this person might need some help, I turned around to see a young Mum with a fully occupied double buggy – and a surgical boot on one foot. Her toddlers were happily quiet, so I asked this Mum (Stacey) about her foot. She had broken it (tarsal fracture) a week ago whilst making her childrens’ beds. She was not happy.
“Would you have 10 seconds for me to pray for that foot?” I asked, explaining to her that I am not weird (!) but am a minister who regularly prays for people in pain and sees God take their pain away. Stacey was bemused and a little incredulous at this, to say the least, but she really wanted her pain gone so agreed to my offer. Her pain level in that moment, just on standing still, was 5/10, higher if she tried to put any weight on her foot.
I instructed Stacey that I would pray very briefly (possibly twice if needed) then would ask her to check her foot out, but she mustn’t be nice to me and say the pain’s better if it isn’t! I got the firm impression that Stacey is very much a “say it as it is” kind of person who doesn’t take any nonsense, so felt confident that speaking honestly would not be a problem for her. I like praying for people like this – you know where you are with things!
Thanking Father God for His huge love for Stacey in arranging this pop-up clinic in the “middle of Lidl”, to release her of pain, it was now time to pray. I pointed my finger at her foot – and commanded healing in the Name of Jesus, cancelling every aspect of the injury, including trauma, infirmity, inflammation and pain. I then released healing over every aspect of her foot, back to its perfect normal.
Check out time (not to pay!) Stacey checked her foot by putting weight on it and taking some steps forward and back. To her great surprise, she could not find any pain apart from “one small bit” that was taken care of through a very brief second prayer. She tried the foot out again and announced “There is no pain. I have no pain!” Although she was trying to be cool and collected about it all, I could tell that she was shocked, relieved and very happy! Her little ones were needing their lunch, so, sensing it was time to go, I told Stacey not to be afraid concerning her foot but to know that Jesus had healed her and to be confident in that. The whole encounter must have been a few minutes long, no more.
Some time later, just before leaving the store, I saw Stacey again walking around completely normally and freely! She admitted that her foot really was without any pain and gave me a coy smile of knowing! Then we parted ways.
Pursue your daughter, Stacey, and her whole family, Father God. Cause even more of your Love to break in and bring down every barrier of defense against your goodness. And stir Stacey to remember with a glad and grateful heart what You did, just for her. in the middle of Lidl !!
